Student feedback is very important to me. I encourage students to write comments on their official feedback forms. I also regularly give out notecards halfway through the semester and invite students to write anonymous comments, suggestions, or criticisms of my teaching performance. I do this in order to glean student opinions on how the class is going before the end of the semester, so that I can adjust if necessary.
