Hello! My name is Rose Bell. I am in my fourth year as a PhD candidate and teaching assistant in the Philosophy Department at Syracuse University. My dissertation investigates the intersection of metaethics, queer theory, and feminism, in particular gender norms and normative social roles. My advisor is Dr. Hille Paakkunainen. I hold a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Philosophy and Psychology from East Tennessee State University.
I live in the Westcott neighborhood in Syracuse with my spouse, Justin, and our cat, Zoya. My hobbies include cycling, knitting, running, rock climbing, baking, and playing trivia with the 2019 Fall Semester Inn Complete championship team.
